Which are the Cannabis Licenses in Colombia?

By the Decree 613 April 2017,the licenses are:

• License for the Manufacture of Cannabis Derivatives.
• License for the use of Cannabis Seeds for Planting and Crops.
• License for the Cultivation of Psychoactive Cannabis Plants.
• License for Non-Psychoactive Cannabis Plants Cultivation.

All this licenses are under the control of the Justice Ministry, Health Ministry and the National Direction of Psychotropics of Colombia, they're in charge of grant the licenses. Other entities such as ICA and INVIMA are also involved, depending on the type of license you require.

General Requirements to Obtain a Cannabis License in Colombia:

Natural Person:

• Photocopy of the citizenship card, the immigration card, or a valid visa if it's required.
• Document providing the payment of the processing fee.
• Personal sworn statement of source of income.

Legal Person:

• Tax Identification Number (NIT) for consultation in the Single Business and Society Registry of Colombia (RUES).
• Photocopy of the citizenship card or the immigration card. Or a valid visa.
• Document providing the payment of the processing fee.
• Personal sworn statement of source of income signed by the legal representative and the accountant or fiscal reviewer, who must attach a copy of their professional card.

This license allows you to produce cannabis as a crop, to produce cannabis for the manufacture of cannabis derivatives (for this you also need the License for the Manufacture of Cannabis Derivatives or to prove that the application for this license is in process), to produce cannabis for scientific purposes, to store cannabis and for its final disposal. • Cannabis Derivatives Manufacturing License.

• Contract with the harvest worker.
• Real estate registration number or cadastral ID.
• Certification of use, possession or possession in good faith of the property.
• Right to use the property (if you do not own it).

• Cultivation plan (excluded in storage mode and final disposal).
